This event, supported by the town's shopkeepers' association, transforms the historic center into a place for encounters and discoveries under the stars, in the warm atmosphere of this medieval town perched on its promontory.
Passionate artisans
The market brings together a selection of art artisans and food artisans who present their creations and know-how:
- Art crafts: ceramics, jewelry, turned wood, leatherwork, textiles, glassware, ironwork
- Food crafts: Perche regional products, charcuterie, cheeses, honey, jams, artisanal pastries
Each artisan is present to explain their craft, demonstrate their way of working with materials, and share their passion with visitors. It's an opportunity to acquire original, handmade items while supporting the local economy.
Concert and entertainment
The evening is punctuated by an open-air concert that enlivens the heart of the town and contributes to the festive atmosphere. Access
The market is held in the historic center of Mortagne-au-Perche, a medieval town perched on its promontory.
- By car: Mortagne-au-Perche is accessible via the D955 from Alençon (40 min), from Nogent-le-Rotrou (30 min), or from Paris via the A11 towards Le Mans then D955 via Nogent-le-Rotrou (approx. 2 hours). From Chartres, take the N23 then the D955 (approx. 1 hour 30 min). Free parking is available in the town center, particularly around Place du Général de Gaulle and near Lake Arthur-Rémy.
- By train: Nearest station in Nogent-le-Rotrou (30 km), served by TER Centre-Val de Loire from Paris-Austerlitz. Road connection by taxi or carpooling to Mortagne.
Location
Place du Général de Gaulle and surroundings of Lake Arthur-Rémy, 61400 Mortagne-au-Perche. The market is set up in the pedestrian streets and squares of the historic center, amidst half-timbered houses and heritage buildings that give the evening a special charm.
Opening Hours
In the evening, generally from 6 PM or 7 PM until around 11 PM. The concert takes place in the early evening, the raffle in the mid-evening. Artisans are present until closing for demonstrations and exchanges.

Completely free access. The raffle is accessible by purchasing tickets from the shopkeepers' association.
Food and Drink
On-site catering offered by the food artisans present at the market: Perche regional products, regional specialties, crepes, galettes, and other treats. A bar is also available with cold and hot drinks and local wines. The many restaurants in the town center of Mortagne are also an option for dinner before or after the market.
