Moulinstock: A festival born of friendship and conviviality

The story of Moulinstock began about fifteen years ago, when a group of friends from Saint-Victor-de-Cessieu gathered on the last weekend of July on the communal stadium grounds, with music, a barbecue, and a lot of good cheer. Encouraged by the municipality and driven by the desire to energize their community, these friends created the Générations Moulinstock association, giving birth to a true festival.

A festival for all generations

True to its name, Moulinstock is an intergenerational festival that brings together young and old around music and celebration. The festival offers varied concerts mixing rock, pop, French chanson, and contemporary music, in a relaxed and warm atmosphere. The event allows residents of the community and surrounding areas to gather in a festive and accessible setting.

An eclectic musical program

Over the years, Moulinstock has hosted quality bands and artists, offering a program that successfully combines headliners and discoveries. The festival notably hosted Superbus in 2017, confirming its growing appeal. Each edition holds musical surprises that contribute to the event's increasing reputation in the Isère festival scene.

Strong local roots

Moulinstock is deeply rooted in the life of Saint-Victor-de-Cessieu, a town in Nord-Isère located between La Tour-du-Pin and Bourgoin-Jallieu. The festival is supported by around a hundred volunteers who ensure its organization, logistics, and public reception. This citizen mobilization makes Moulinstock much more than just a musical event: it is a collective project that strengthens social bonds and local identity.

Catering and conviviality

The festival site offers on-site catering with burgers, fries, hot dogs, and waffles, as well as a bar. The atmosphere is resolutely relaxed, with areas to eat, relax, and enjoy the open-air concerts. Parking is accessible and free, making it easy to get to the festival.

A growing festival

Since its modest beginnings, Moulinstock has continued to grow. The festival now attracts several thousand festival-goers over two days, confirming its status as a must-attend musical event in Nord-Isère. This growth reflects the public's enthusiasm for a human-sized festival, where the proximity between artists and spectators remains at the heart of the experience.
