Every June 21, Aix-les-Bains celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): from the musical breakfast at Bois Vidal to evening concerts in the city center, squares, parks, and terraces transform into open stages. The day is entirely free and blends all styles, from local amateur groups to jazz, including contemporary music from the DEVA school.
The Fête de la Musique in Aix-les-Bains
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the spa town of Aix-les-Bains into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from morning until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences: amateur groups, music schools, teachers, and shopkeepers take turns on squares, in parks, and on terraces.
A festival spread throughout the city
For the 2026 edition, several events punctuate the day. The celebration starts in the morning with an open stage at Bois Vidal, centered around a musical breakfast, and the freely accessible piano at the market. Square Temple de Diane hosts local groups all day, while the Théâtre de Verdure is entrusted to the DEVA contemporary music school for a grand afternoon of concerts. In the evening, jazz takes up residence by the lake, and shopkeepers animate the city center streets until late into the night.

Square Temple de Diane — Local bands, 10:15 AM-9:15 PM
A stage dedicated to local bands who perform throughout the day.
Théâtre de Verdure — DEVA celebrates music, 3 PM-10 PM
The DEVA contemporary music school takes over the Théâtre de Verdure: students from discovery groups and about fifteen DEVA groups perform successively from 3 PM to 8 PM, then nine teachers offer a concert on the theme of sun and summer from 8 PM to 10 PM. A parade of the "batuca DEVA" crosses the city streets and a refreshment stand is set up on site.
CNVA (lakeside) — "Sail'in Jazz", 7 PM-10 PM
Evening jazz concert at the Cercle de la Voile, facing Lac du Bourget.
City center — "Merchants in music", 5:30 PM-2 AM
Merchants liven up the city center streets with music, from late afternoon until late into the night.
Other concerts from bars, terraces, and local initiatives complete this program throughout the city.
