The Fête de la Musique in Angoulême
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Angoulême into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, with concerts from the afternoon until late at night, in all genres and for all audiences.

Usually, numerous stages are set up in the streets of Angoulême's center: you'll find open-air concerts by local bands and guest artists, entertainment in bars and cultural venues, as well as initiatives led by shopkeepers, associations, and residents.
