About Music Festival in Chambéry
Every year, on the occasion of the Fête de la Musique, Chambéry transforms its historic city center into an open-air stage. For its 45th edition, the city of the Dukes of Savoy sets up about ten sound-equipped stages and several acoustic zones in its streets and squares. Organized by the Ville de Chambéry, the evening is entirely free and blends all styles, from rock to French chanson, from jazz to electro.
The Fête de la Musique in Chambéry
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique brings music to the streets of Chambéry. For one evening, the city center is given over to musicians and strollers: local bands, amateur musicians, established artists, and open stages perform for free until late into the night.
A celebration throughout the city center
The Ville de Chambéry deploys about ten sound-equipped stages of all styles and three acoustic zone locations spread throughout the historic heart. The squares and streets of the center host open-air concerts, while bars and restaurants extend the celebration onto their terraces and inside their establishments.
All genres intersect along the alleys and pathways: rock, pop, jazz, electro, French chanson, and world music. Everyone finds something to enjoy, from the lively stages in the large squares to the more intimate acoustic scenes.

The 2026 Fête de la Musique in Chambéry will take place on Saturday, June 20, from 6 PM until 1 AM, free of charge in the city center. For this 45th edition, the City is setting up about ten sound-equipped stages and several acoustic zones in the streets and squares of the historic heart.

Stages and Other City Center Scenes
The sound-equipped stages and entertainment are distributed notably at Place Grenette, Rue Bonivard, Place de Genève, Boulevard du Théâtre, on the city center terraces, and at Chapelle Vaugelas. Rock, pop, jazz, electro, French chanson, and world music are represented there.
