About Music Festival in Grasse
Every June 21, Grasse celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur and professional musicians, soloists and groups freely take over the squares and streets of the historic center. Organized by the Ville de Grasse, the day is entirely free and open to all, from Cours Honoré Cresp to Place aux Aires.
The Fête de la Musique in Grasse
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the world capital of perfume into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from late afternoon until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences.
A celebration throughout the historic center
Usually, several stages are set up in Grasse city center: Cours Honoré Cresp, Place aux Aires, Place Morel and Boulevard du Jeu de Ballon are among the emblematic locations taken over by musicians. Styles coexist without hierarchy, from jazz to funk, rock, reggae, pop, folk or electro, complemented by concerts from bars and restaurants in the center.
