The Fête de la Musique in Hazebrouck
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique enlivens Hazebrouck, in Flanders (Nord), every year. The city has made the Jardin public (Public Garden) its rallying point: a full day of open-air music, free and open to all, from morning until night.
A Day of Music at the Public Garden
The festival opens at 10 am with family activities — a musical hour at the media library, games and musical workshops at the Public Garden — followed by a musical aperitif with a brass band in the late morning. The afternoon features a succession of stages: local groups and artists, a symphony orchestra, harmonies and Afro-Cuban percussion, then the music school orchestra and several Flanders harmonies. The evening concludes with a concert on the garden's central stage.
The musical program is organized in partnership with Malraux Spectacles, in conjunction with the city's Culture department and the Hazebrouck music school.
