About Music Festival in Istres
Every June 21, Istres celebrates the Fête de la Musique: about ten stages are set up in the streets and squares of the city center, where amateur musicians and local bands play for free outdoors. Organized by the City of Istres, the evening is entirely free and mixes all genres, from jazz to pop, salsa to electro, French chanson to folk.
The Fête de la Musique in Istres
As everywhere in France since its national creation in 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Istres into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces in the evening, in all styles and for all audiences, until late into the night.

Usually, the City of Istres deploys about ten stages in the city center: squares, boulevards, and esplanades fill with concerts, while the city's bars and restaurants also participate in the evening.
