Usually, the festival takes place free of charge throughout the city center: a large stage on the redeveloped Place du 11-Novembre, programmed by the contemporary music venue 6PAR4 in partnership with the City of Laval, a stage at Square Foch, as well as local groups and choirs in the streets and squares of the center, and concerts in bars and restaurants until late at night.

As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the prefecture of Mayenne into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from early evening until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences.
A festival in the heart of the city center
Usually, the main stage of the festival is set up on the redeveloped Place du 11-Novembre, with a concert program organized by the contemporary music venue 6PAR4, in partnership with the City of Laval. Another stage takes place in Square Foch, while local bands and choirs animate the rest of the city center and numerous bars and restaurants extend the celebration.
