As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the prefecture of Jura into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces from early evening until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all levels.

The City of Lons-le-Saunier sets up several performance venues in the city center each year, including some new stages, and distributes groups according to musical styles.
