Every June 21st, Manosque celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) and kicks off summer with music. Concerts in the city center squares, jazz strolls, the Conservatory's symphony orchestra, and the Capsule MJC stage: the program is eclectic and entirely free, from musette to rock, including electro, gypsy swing, and world music.
The Fête de la Musique in Manosque
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Manosque into an open-air stage every June. For this 2026 edition, the city extends the celebration over an entire weekend: musical strolls, concerts in the squares of the old town center, a symphonic evening in the park, and the Capsule MJC program follow one another for free, from early evening until the heart of the night.
A festival spread throughout the city center
Manosque's historic center is given over to musicians and strollers: the forecourt of Saint-Sauveur church, the city center squares, and Drouille park host open-air concerts, while the Capsule MJC esplanade, Place Leinfelden, extends the celebration on June 21st. Genres coexist without hierarchy — variety, musette, reggaeton, swing, pop-rock, electro, and classical music — with amateur groups like the symphony orchestra of the Conservatoire des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

Friday, June 19th — Church of Saint-Sauveur Forecourt, 8:30 PM
Piano concert by the Conservatoire des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, to open the musical weekend.
Saturday, June 20th — Jazz stroll in the city center, 6 PM-8 PM
Jazz groups wander through the city center to kick off the evening.
Saturday, June 20th — Concerts in the squares, 8:30 PM to midnight
About ten groups liven up the city center squares, all styles combined: The Candies (variety), Crystal Musette (musette), DJ Ouss (reggaeton, dancehall, dance), Diabloson & Elisabeth Gomez (Cuban music), Wealthy Garlics (Irish music), Guilhempierre Rag'n Swing (swing-jazz), Les Rhumatiks (pop-rock covers), Symbioz (pop), Georgia Brown (gypsy swing) and DJ Ko-Zac (electro).
Saturday, June 20th — Drouille Park
Concert by the symphonic orchestra of the Conservatoire des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence: a hundred musicians on stage for a great symphonic moment.
Sunday, June 21st — Capsule MJC, Place Leinfelden, from 8 PM
On the national date of June 21st, the Capsule MJC closes the festival with an eclectic program highlighting local musical talents on its esplanade.
