About Music Festival in Oyonnax
Every June 21, Oyonnax celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians, local groups, and guest artists perform for free outdoors, from René Nicod park to the Grenette esplanade. Organized by the City of Oyonnax, the day is entirely free and blends gypsy jazz, soul, pop-rock, African percussion, and harmony music.
The Fête de la Musique in Oyonnax
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Oyonnax into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from the afternoon until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences.
A highlight at René Nicod park
At the heart of the celebration, René Nicod park hosts the main program: a DJ sets the mood in the late afternoon, then concerts follow in the evening, featuring harmony bands, gypsy jazz, soul, funk, and pop-rock covers. The Grenette esplanade opens the festivities with dances and percussion, while the city center streets and partner establishments extend the evening.
A celebration for an entire territory
Numerous Oyonnax associations are involved in the organization, with food and drink stalls that make this day a great convivial and intergenerational event in Haut-Bugey.

The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Oyonnax will take place on Sunday, June 21, free of charge at René Nicod Park and in the city center. A preview is offered starting Friday, June 19, in front of partner establishments, before a day blending harmony, gypsy jazz, soul, funk, and pop-rock.
Programme Music Festival in Oyonnax 2026
Program announced for the 2026 edition, stage by stage:
Esplanade de la Grenette — from 3 PM
Opening of the festivities with the Yasso association: African dances and percussion (djembes), with Ivorian influences.
René Nicod Park — from 5 PM until midnight
- 5 PM: the Harmonie du Haut-Bugey and its 25 musicians.
- 6 PM: atmosphere provided by a DJ, for a friendly moment between generations.
- A guitar-vocal duo, then the trio Un air de swing (gypsy jazz and soul).
- Coffee Tone, a Lyon-based band (soul and funk).
- The pop-rock cover bands Nostal'Zic du Cool and O'Five.
City center and partner establishments — in the evening
Concerts in front of partner bars and restaurants, starting Friday, June 19, as a preview, and on the evening of June 21.
Several local associations will run food and drink stalls throughout the day.
