Every June 21st, Rochefort celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): amateur musicians and professional groups play for free in the streets, squares, and emblematic venues of the city. Highlight of the 2026 edition: the îlot de la Vieille Forme, with five stages and eighteen rock and pop bands performing outdoors on the port. The day is entirely free and open to all.
The Fête de la Musique in Rochefort
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Rochefort into an open-air stage every June 21st. Music freely takes over public spaces, with concerts from late afternoon until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences. In 2026, the national event falls on a Sunday.
A celebration throughout the city
In Rochefort, the festival unfolds around several hubs. The highlight of the 2026 edition is concentrated on the îlot de la Vieille Forme, on the port, where five stages host eighteen rock and pop bands outdoors. Other central locations extend the celebration, from square Parat to the musée de la Vieille Paroisse, while bars, restaurants, and public spaces of Rochefort Océan animate the area.
Traffic and parking are usually restricted in the city center and in the port area on the evening of the festival, to give the streets over to musicians and strollers.

Îlot de la Vieille Forme — on the port, 5 PM-midnight
Five stages and eighteen outdoor rock and pop bands, supported by four partners: l'Ampli, Oliver's Cook, la Casa Loti, and le Clos Lapérouse.
- Le Clos Lapérouse: Pasalvn, Erto, Bakasab, Fumée Noire, and Skivers.
- L'Ampli (two outdoor stages on the port): Acid Leaves, Anthèse, Arson, Vaim, and Way-K.
- La Casa Loti: Cliff Hanger and WTF, with a first band starting at noon.
- Oliver's Cook: one band in concert.
Square Parat
Concert by the departmental harmony orchestra.
Musée de la Vieille Paroisse
Gregorian chants.
Other neighborhood stages, bars, and associative initiatives complete this program throughout the city and in the Rochefort Océan territory. Program subject to change.
