The Fête de la Musique in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges

As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges into an open-air stage every June 21. On the occasion of the summer solstice, music freely takes over public spaces, from late afternoon until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences.

A festival spread throughout the city

Usually, numerous stages are set up throughout the city center of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges: squares, streets, quays, and parks host open-air concerts, while the cathedral opens its doors for more classical performances. The program is deliberately eclectic — pop, pop rock, rock, metal, electro, variety, choral singing, classical music, guinguette, and country music coexist — and gives pride of place to amateur practices as well as established regional bands.
