Free concerts throughout the city on June 21, 2026
Every June 21, Saint-Nazaire celebrates the Fête de la Musique: from the city center to the seafront, streets, squares, and establishments transform into open stages. Supported by the Ville de Saint-Nazaire and the association Les Escales, the day is entirely free and mixes all genres, from traditional music to techno, including jazz, rock, rap, and classical music.
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of shipyards into an open-air stage every June 21. From early afternoon until late in the evening, amateur musicians, music school students, dancers, choirs, and professional artists freely occupy public spaces, for all audiences and in all styles.
In Saint-Nazaire, the 2026 edition is organized by the Ville de Saint-Nazaire in partnership with the association Les Escales. Equipped and technically supported outdoor music stages host artists, from the city center to the ocean's edge: the Front de mer and its surroundings, the skatepark, the Port Désiré area, the Sautron district, and the Jardin des Plantes music kiosk, not forgetting the partner bars, restaurants, and shops that extend the celebration.
The program, widely open to both choreographic and musical proposals, covers a very wide range of genres: traditional music, jazz, rock, rap, classical music, and electro. The Jardin des Plantes music kiosk has established itself as a new local stage dedicated to everyday artistic practices.
