Every June 21, Saint-Raphaël celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) by the Mediterranean Sea: amateur musicians, music school students, and professional artists perform for free in the streets, squares, and along the seafront. Organized by the City of Saint-Raphaël, the evening is entirely free and open to all, in a typical summer atmosphere of the French Riviera.

As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the seaside resort of Saint-Raphaël into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from late afternoon until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences, facing the sea.
A festival throughout the city
Usually, the festival unfolds across several stages in the heart of Saint-Raphaël and its districts: the city center and the seafront, the Old Port (Vieux-Port) and the Santa Lucia district, not forgetting the villages of Boulouris and Agay. Shopkeepers, artists, and municipal services collaborate to offer concerts and entertainment in a festive and friendly atmosphere.
