16th Edition of the Musique en Chemin Festival (2026)
From July 23 to 25, 2026, the village of La Romieu and its classified collegiate church host the 16th edition of the Musique en Chemin Festival, with an additional date on August 8. The festival offers concerts, conferences, and workshops focusing on repertoire and new music, in dialogue with other arts, ecology, and societal issues. Many events are free to access, open to all audiences.
The 2026 program brings together various aesthetics: Renaissance polyphonies with the singers of La Main Harmonique and Ambròsia, Italian baroque vocal repertoire for voice and organ, baroque percussion and guitars from the ensemble La Nébuleuse, a dance party with DJ Pento, a Gascon ball by the female duo Licotissa, Jean-Sébastien Bach with the Ensemble Les Passions, and the violin of Sarah Nemtanu.
True to its eco-responsible commitment, the festival brings its artists without flying and offers 100% organic, local, seasonal, and mostly vegetarian catering, with a view to waste reduction and the elimination of single-use plastics.

Concerts in Exceptional Venues
Concerts take place in the magnificent Collégiale de La Romieu, a World Heritage site, but also in other remarkable locations in the surrounding area. The exceptional acoustics of these spaces enhance the musicians' performances.
Beyond Music
The festival is not limited to concerts. Conferences, vocal discovery workshops, traditional dances, and moments of conviviality complete the program. Musique en Chemin creates a dialogue between music, arts, ecology, and societal issues.
