The oldest festival in the Gers, between classical music and heritage
The Nuits Musicales en Armagnac were born in 1968 on the initiative of André Clarac, a self-taught choirmaster who led the Ensemble Vocal de l'Armagnac. The first edition was held at the Abbaye de Flaran, and since then, the festival has continued to grow to become one of the oldest and most respected in the Occitanie region.
The festival takes place in the most beautiful heritage sites of the Gers: the ramparts of Lectoure, the cathedral of Condom, the church of Terraube, the Château de Lavardens and the Abbaye de Flaran. These spaces offer remarkable acoustics and a unique setting to appreciate classical music, opera, and contemporary creations.
The program brings together the great names of international classical music and young talents. The Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, dancers from the Opéra de Paris, and numerous renowned soloists have performed in previous editions. The festival also offers opera creations, jazz concerts, and lyrical performances.
Workshops around music and opera allow the public to discover the backstage of musical creation. Encounters with artists are organized after the concerts.
The 58th edition will take place from mid-July to early August 2026 in the heritage sites of the Gers.
Concerts take place in several locations in the Gers: Lectoure, Condom, Terraube, Lavardens, and Flaran. Each location has parking nearby.
Concert prices: from €15 to €35. Reduced price for young people.
