ONYX Festival: A festival by and for students
ONYX Festival was born from the initiative of students in the Master 1 Cultural Project Management program at Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA). This free, multidisciplinary festival transforms the La Rotonde university campus into a true festival site, open to all. The event stands out for its commitment to inclusion and eco-responsibility.
A Rich and Diverse Program
The festival offers an eclectic program combining:
- Concerts and DJ sets with emerging artists
- Drag shows with nine drag artists
- Fanfare with Hépatix, the medical and pharmacy student band
- Theater and comedy with stand-up and live performances
- Participatory workshops: beatmaking, poetry slam, rock workshop
- Short film screenings
- Associative village and safe space
A Strong Commitment
ONYX Festival upholds strong values of openness, diversity, and sustainable development. The festival features vegetarian catering via food trucks, a safe space for the well-being of all festival-goers, and an associative village highlighting student and local initiatives. Admission is completely free and open to all, democratizing access to culture.
A Transformed University Setting
The La Rotonde campus, located at Pôle tertiaire, 23 rue de la Rotonde in Clermont-Ferrand, is transformed for a weekend into a place for celebration and encounters. Two stages, thematic areas, and relaxation zones welcome festival-goers in a green and friendly environment.

The 2nd edition of ONYX Festival will be held in early April 2026 on the La Rotonde campus in Clermont-Ferrand. The free and inclusive university festival will once again offer concerts, shows, workshops, and an associative village. The program will be announced in spring 2026.

ONYX Festival returns for its second edition in early April 2026. Following the success of its first edition, the festival continues to transform the La Rotonde campus into a multidisciplinary, free, and open-to-all celebration. The program will be announced soon.

Access and Transport
By Tram: La Rotonde campus is accessible by tram (line A), "Universités" stop. A few minutes' walk from the stop.
By Bus: Several lines of the T2C network serve the La Rotonde campus.
By Car: Parking spaces are available around the campus. Access via rue de la Rotonde, 63000 Clermont-Ferrand.

Friday from 6 PM to 1 AM. Saturday from 10 AM to 1 AM.
