Comics Day in Flers

Ornenbulle, the Festival of Comics and Illustration, is a biennial event that makes Flers a rallying point for comic book enthusiasts in Normandy. Supported by the Ornenbulle association and the Flers media library, the festival brings together authors, illustrators, and readers in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Meetings and Signings

The heart of the festival beats around meetings with authors. Each edition hosts about fifteen authors and illustrators of comics, manga, and illustration who engage in signings and exchanges with the public. Artists with diverse universes meet here: Franco-Belgian comic authors, mangakas, children's illustrators, press cartoonists...

17th edition in 2025

The 2025 edition hosted 14 invited authors including Henri Dufranne, Alice et Benjamin Fischer, Paul Gros, Christophe et Rodolphe Hoyas, Jay, Jim Maître, Frédéric Marniquet, Olivier Merle, François Plisson, Denis Renard, Sébastien Samson, Nicolas Sauge, Stibane et Zerriouh.

Exhibitions and Workshops

Exhibitions of original plates and reproductions allow visitors to dive into the graphic universe of the invited authors. Supervised workshops are offered to children and teenagers: introduction to manga drawing, comic book workshop, drawing classes... These practical sessions allow the younger ones to discover the art of comic books.

Activities for Everyone

Beyond comics, Ornenbulle offers numerous family activities: magic shows, balloon sculptors, face painting for children, board game and tabletop game workshops. These activities make the festival a truly family-friendly event where young and old alike can find something to enjoy.

A Biennial Event

The biennial organization of Ornenbulle allows for careful preparation of each edition, selecting quality authors and offering a renewed program. This rhythm helps make each edition an anticipated and recognized event in the landscape of comic festivals in Normandy.
