The Festival of the West at Pointe Saint-Mathieu
Ouestival is a music festival held every late June at the Enclos des Moines, at the foot of the lighthouse of Pointe Saint-Mathieu in Plougonvelin. Organized by the association Ty Bonheur, this event offers a two-day program mixing rock, reggae, world music, and electro music facing the ocean. A friendly and family-friendly festival with on-site camping, children's activities, and catering, it brings together about ten artists in an exceptional natural setting.
Every late June, the Pointe Saint-Mathieu in Plougonvelin transforms into an open-air music stage to host Ouestival, the Festival of the West. Nestled in the Enclos des Moines, at the foot of the lighthouse and the abbey ruins, this festival benefits from a breathtaking natural setting, facing the Atlantic Ocean and the Iroise Sea.
Ouestival offers a rich and varied two-day program that highlights festive and mixed music. The 2025 edition featured iconic names like Soldat Louis, a key figure of Breton rock, Sergent Garcia and his fiery Latin rhythms, Cali and his overflowing energy, Nuttea and the reggae of Big Red (Raggasonic). The lineup also includes artists such as Mouss et Hakim, Gambeat, Camino, Me Gustas Tú, Toukan-Toukän, Colours in the Street, and DUN3S, offering a musical panorama ranging from rock to reggae, including Balkan music and electro.
Ouestival stands out for its friendly and family-oriented atmosphere. Friday evening offers a night of musical discoveries with eight artists, while Saturday afternoon features activities for children with a kids' disco, the "Children's Paradise." The idyllic setting of Pointe Saint-Mathieu allows for a unique musical moment with your feet almost in the water, creating a unique seaside festival atmosphere in Brittany.
The association Ty Bonheur, organizer of the festival, has developed a complete range of services: the "Ouesti'camp" allows festival-goers to camp on-site, the cashless payment system facilitates transactions, and catering and bar areas are spread across the site. Dedicated parking, the "Ouesti'park," and information on secure transportation complete the reception facilities.
Since its early editions, Ouestival has continued to grow, attracting an ever-larger audience thanks to its quality programming and exceptional setting. The festival has established itself as a must-attend summer event in the Pays d'Iroise, driven by a team of passionate volunteers and the support of numerous local partners. The 2026 edition is already confirmed, demonstrating the vitality of this event that makes Pointe Saint-Mathieu shine far beyond Finistère.
