Ouestival: Music at the End of the World

Every late June, the Pointe Saint-Mathieu in Plougonvelin transforms into an open-air music stage to host Ouestival, the festival of the West. Nestled in the Enclos des Moines, at the foot of the lighthouse and the abbey ruins, this festival benefits from a breathtaking natural setting, facing the Atlantic Ocean and the Iroise Sea.

An Eclectic and Festive Program

Ouestival champions a unifying and popular vision of music, blending renowned national and international artists with support for local creation, featuring a rich, committed, and resolutely intergenerational program. The 2025 edition brought together names like Soldat Louis, Sergent Garcia, Cali, Nuttea, Big Red (Raggasonic), Mouss et Hakim, Gambeat, Camino, Me Gustas Tú, Toukan-Toukän, Colours in the Street and DUN3S. For 2026, the festival notably welcomes Têtes Raides, Les Négresses Vertes, Marcel et son Orchestre, La Pegatina and Celtas Cortos (unique French date).

A Family-Friendly and Convivial Festival

Ouestival stands out for its friendly and family-oriented atmosphere. The site welcomes nearly 4,000 festival-goers per evening. Saturday offers children's entertainment with the « Paradis des enfants ». The idyllic setting of Pointe Saint-Mathieu allows for sharing a unique musical moment facing the ocean, creating a seaside festival atmosphere unique in Brittany.

Comprehensive Services for Festival-goers

The Ty Bonheur association, organizer of the festival with over 400 volunteers, has developed a comprehensive range of services: the « Ouesti'camp » allows festival-goers to camp for free on site, the cashless payment system (Weezevent) facilitates transactions, and the catering areas offer local specialties, homemade fries, and artisanal hot dogs. A dedicated parking lot (« Ouesti'park »), free shuttles from Le Conquet, Plougonvelin, and Trez Hir beach, as well as electric fatbike rental complete the reception system, promoting soft mobility.

A Growing Festival

Since its first edition, Ouestival has continued to grow. The festival is in its 3rd edition in 2026, and has already established itself as an unmissable summer event in Pays d'Iroise, driven by a team of passionate volunteers and the support of numerous local partners including the Communauté de Communes du Pays d'Iroise. In partnership with « Jeunes en Scènes de Brest », the festival also supports emerging local talents with the Ouesti'kalon competition.
