The annual guitar gathering in Perrigny
It is in Perrigny, a commune in the Auxerrois region on the outskirts of Auxerre, that a new musical adventure, led by the local association Perrigny 360, was born in 2026. The project is simple and exciting: to bring together a collective of guitarists and singers each year to celebrate the greatest guitar legends through intimate unplugged concerts in the village community hall. Admission is free and participation is conscious, in keeping with the associative and popular spirit of the project.
Initiated by Pierre, a guitarist and narrator, and a handful of amateur and professional musicians from the Yonne region, Perrigny Guitar Band aims to become an unmissable annual event in the area. Each edition chooses a theme — an artist, an era, a style — around which a carefully curated program is built, combining original compositions, arranged covers, and anecdotes about the lives of the celebrated artists.
For its first edition on September 6, 2026, Perrigny Guitar Band places electric and acoustic guitar at the heart of an exceptional evening. On Sunday, September 6th at 8:30 PM, an unplugged electro-acoustic concert pays tribute to Eric Clapton — ranked the second greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone magazine, behind Jimi Hendrix — as well as a galaxy of artists who have marked the history of rock and pop: Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Sting, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones, U2, Tears for Fears, Kansas, Bill Withers, and Chris Isaak.
The concert is structured as a narrative journey: the songs flow, supported by a common thread of anecdotes and artist portraits, offering the audience complete immersion into the world of the greatest guitarists in rock history. The duration is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, for a show that aims to be as educational as it is moving.
For this first edition, the association Perrigny 360 has brought together a collective of six musicians with complementary profiles. The leading figure is Hugues Renault, known as "Hugo" — a professional guitarist based in Monéteau (Yonne), specializing in blues, bossa nova, and jazz fusion, leader of the group Buzztown (label Dixiefrog, albums Hit the Road & Play the Blues in 2010 and Wherever You Hide in 2013) and a founding member of Mélodia. Around Hugo, the rest of the collective includes: Lisa (vocals), Stève (vocals), JB (bass and vocals), Nico (guitars), and Pierre (guitar, vocals, and narration).
Perrigny Guitar Band is part of a strong local associative dynamic. The association Perrigny 360 has been developing cultural and festive initiatives for several years for the residents of Perrigny and neighboring communes. The Perrigny community hall, with a capacity of 260 people and equipped with a 33 m² stage, offers an ideal setting for this type of event: intimate, warm, and accessible on foot from the village center.
By betting on free admission with conscious participation, the organizers are aiming for maximum accessibility to the project. No ticketing, no prohibitive prices: everyone comes and contributes according to their means, in a spirit of sharing and support for local live culture. This model, common in rural community structures, also allows reaching audiences who would not otherwise enter a large concert hall.
The first edition of Perrigny Guitar Band takes place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Perrigny community hall. A unique evening, one passion for the guitar and the great songs of rock.
The program is structured as a journey through rock history. The electro-acoustic concert, lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, is built around a narrative thread: the songs flow with anecdotes about the life and career of Eric Clapton — twice named guitarist of the century, author of Layla, Wonderful Tonight, Tears in Heaven — and about the other legends celebrated that evening: Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Sting, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones, U2, Tears for Fears, Kansas, Bill Withers, and Chris Isaak.
Around the guest guitarist Hugues Renault (known as "Hugo"), whose mastery of blues, bossa nova, and jazz is recognized well beyond the Yonne region, the collective includes Lisa (vocals), Stève (vocals), JB (bass and vocals), Nico (guitars), and Pierre (guitar, vocals, and narration). Six artists for an intimate and generous show, in a human-sized hall where the audience is very close to the musicians.
Doors open at 7:30 PM, concert starts at 8:30 PM. Free seating. Arrival recommended before 8:15 PM. Reservations recommended at 06 80 99 09 14.
The evening is offered with free and conscious admission: everyone contributes according to their means, in cash or by check on the evening itself. This pricing policy is at the heart of Perrigny 360's project and guarantees everyone access to a quality cultural event in a village in the Auxerrois region.
The concert takes place at the Perrigny community hall, located in the village center at the corner of rue des Écoles and chemin de la Coulemine:
7 rue des Écoles, 89000 Perrigny.
The hall has a capacity of 260 people, a 33 m² stage, and a bar area.
Free and conscious admission (voluntary contribution). Payment by check or cash on the evening of the concert.
