Photography Festival
Open-air photography exhibition in the streets of Brécey
2026
About Photography Festival
Every summer, the Sée à Voir association sets up an open-air photography exhibition throughout the streets of Brécey (Manche), in partnership with the local council and businesses. Large-format prints by professional and amateur photographers line a route through the town centre—including the town hall square, school surroundings, local shops, and the Espace Culturel Bernard Tréhet—exploring the theme of humanity and its environment. The trail is free to explore on foot at your own pace.
Photography Festival — edition 2026
The fourth edition brings together five photographers—Florence Lequesne, Jean-Jacques Flach, Christian Malon, Nicolas Lombardin, and Jean-Yves Desfoux—alongside CM1-CM2 students from the Val de Sée schools, all exploring the theme "Man, Nature, and the Environment." One hundred and twenty large-format prints will be displayed outdoors across six locations in the town center.

A trail featuring new photographers every summer
The Sée à Voir association organizes this exhibition in collaboration with the Brécey Val de Sée town hall and local shopkeepers, who lend their facades and storefronts for the displays. The prints are hung at various sites throughout the town and can be enjoyed while walking, with no reservations or set hours required.
The 2025 edition featured four photographers—Patrick Forget ("Terre Fragile"), Jean-Yves Desfoux (ethnic groups and rural life in Thailand and Laos), Hervé Delaroque (equestrian portraits), and Bruno Compagnon ("L'Âme de l'Islande")—across five locations in the town centre, from July 4th to September 21st.
