Plumes en Berry is a warm literary fair that celebrates literary creation in the Centre-Val de Loire region. A panorama of regional literary creation
The fair presents a complete panorama of literary creation in Berry and central France. Novels, stories, poetry, comic strips, children's books, historical and regional works: all genres are represented. Each edition features prestigious guests. In 2021, for its 10th anniversary, the fair welcomed Franco-Canadian novelist Nancy Huston and singer-songwriter Florent Marchet, originally from Lignières.

Beyond the traditional book signings, Plumes en Berry offers readings, round tables, and performances that allow visitors to interact directly with authors in a friendly and intimate atmosphere. The fair is driven by a collective of committed cultural players: éditions La Bouinotte, an emblematic Berry publishing house founded in 1982, the Club des Amis de La Bouinotte, the association Être Pontcabannois, and the Hapimag Resort Château de Chabenet, in partnership with the municipality of Le Pont-Chrétien-Chabenet. This alliance between cultural, associative, and tourism stakeholders makes Plumes en Berry an event rooted in its territory.
