The Quincy-sous-Sénart Town and Music Festival: 80s/90s vibe at Parc de la Maison Verte
Every June 21st, Quincy-sous-Sénart celebrates the Fête de la Musique in grand style with its Town Festival. At Parc de la Maison Verte, concerts, activities, and an 80s/90s atmosphere bring together residents and visitors in a festive and friendly environment. A free event organized by the town with the support of the local Festival Committee.
Between the Sénart forest and the wooded slopes of the Seine valley, the town of Quincy-sous-Sénart is a residential town in Essonne with about 7,000 inhabitants that carefully cultivates its social and cultural fabric. Its Town Festival, organized every year on June 21st for the national Fête de la Musique, is one of the highlights of the local calendar.
The town of Quincy-sous-Sénart has chosen to merge its annual grand festival with the Fête de la Musique on June 21st, creating a doubly symbolic event. This summer solstice date, chosen by Jack Lang in 1982 to celebrate music in all its forms across the country, resonates particularly in this town that loves conviviality and shared culture.
The festival takes place at the Parc de la Maison Verte, located at 5 rue de Combs la Ville, a pleasant and welcoming green space that offers the ideal setting for a festive outdoor day. From 11 am, families and residents begin to flock, attracted by the smells of food and the first notes of music rising in the summer air.
The edition that left a lasting impression was the one dedicated to the 80s/90s, a theme that evokes intense musical memories for many Quinçois. The hits of this decade—flamboyant synths, unforgettable pop melodies, funk and disco rhythms—resonate in the park, creating an atmosphere of joyful nostalgia that invites singing, dancing, and reminiscing.
Local artists and bands take turns on stage to perform the great classics of that era, offering energetic and engaging performances that draw the entire audience into a festive and collective celebration of popular music. Improvised dancers don't hesitate to take to the floor, spontaneously creating a popular dance hall atmosphere.
Located at 4 rue Combs la Ville, the Comité des Fêtes de Quincy-sous-Sénart is the other major organizing force behind local festivities. The association is responsible for organizing numerous events throughout the year: shows for children and adults, concerts, exhibitions, themed activities, and creative workshops. This committee reflects the volunteer commitment and passion for community life that characterize the Quinçois.
Quincy-sous-Sénart benefits from an exceptional natural setting: the town borders the forest of Sénart, one of the largest forests in Île-de-France with its 3,200 hectares. This forest, a former royal hunting ground, offers residents a privileged natural space for walking, relaxation, and rejuvenation. The town festival naturally fits into this natural context and enhances the identity of a town that maintains a daily and vibrant relationship with the forest.
The bucolic setting of Parc de la Maison Verte, surrounded by greenery and tranquility, contributes to the special atmosphere of the Quincy Town Festival: a human-sized festival, far from large noisy stages, where everyone can enjoy music and conviviality in a natural and serene setting.
The Quincy-sous-Sénart Town and Music Festival 2026 will be organized on June 21st at Parc de la Maison Verte with concerts, activities, and conviviality. Free admission.
