Festival in Ille-et-Vilaine
The Rencontres Interculturelles Sevenadur are a festival of Breton and world cultures organized annually in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine) by the Cercle celtique de Rennes. For nearly three weeks, the event celebrates cultural diversity through fest-noz and fest-deiz, concerts of Celtic and world music, singing, music and embroidery courses, conferences, screenings in Breton language, and intercultural encounters.
Sevenadur ("culture" in Breton) is the annual festival of Breton and world cultures organized in Rennes, Ille-et-Vilaine, by the Cercle celtique de Rennes. The event spans nearly three weeks and takes place in several locations across the city and the Rennes region, with the Ferme de la Harpe as its anchor point.
The program combines fest-noz and fest-deiz, concerts by emblematic groups of the Celtic scene, introductions to Breton dance, singing, music and embroidery courses, conferences, collection evenings, evening gatherings, screenings of films in Breton language, and original creative proposals. The festival fosters dialogue between intangible Breton heritage and women's heritage with world cultures, in a festive, warm, and intercultural spirit.

The 27th edition of the Rencontres Interculturelles Sevenadur took place from February 25 to March 15, 2026, in Rennes, on the theme « Vivant! » (Alive!). For 19 days, the festival celebrated Breton and world cultures through fest-noz, fest-deiz, concerts, workshops, conferences, and intercultural meetings.
The 27th edition of Sevenadur took place from February 25 to March 15, 2026 in Rennes, organized by the Cercle celtique de Rennes around the theme « Vivant! » (Alive!): the art of living, transmission, and dialogue between cultures.
On the program: fest-noz and fest-deiz, concerts by groups from the Celtic scene, introductions to Breton dance, singing, music, and embroidery workshops, conferences, collecting evenings and vigils, screenings of films in Breton language, as well as original creative proposals (Triskell project, Breizh Bazar Jâze wanderings, wild balls). Children's days were held at the Ferme de la Harpe from February 25 to 27.
