The Rencontres Internationales de Théâtre en Corse

Initiated by Robin Renucci within the L'ARIA association (Association des Rencontres Internationales Artistiques), the Rencontres Internationales de Théâtre en Corse have become a major event for theatrical creation in Corsica. They take place every summer in the villages of the Giussani valley (Pioggiola, Olmi-Cappella and neighboring villages), in the heart of the Corsica Regional Natural Park, in Haute-Corse.

A Unique Creation Workshop

For several weeks, nearly a hundred trainees — actors and technicians, both amateurs and professionals — gather around about ten creations supervised by experienced directors, artists, and technicians. Exercise workshops in the morning, production workshops in the afternoon: the work takes place outdoors, in the exceptional setting of the Giussani mountains and forests.

A Week Open to the Public

The last week is largely open to the public: shows resulting from the workshops are presented in the villages of Giussani, and numerous discovery workshops (body awareness, dance, Corsican singing, loud reading, parent-child circus, heritage discovery…) are offered to visitors upon registration.
