Rencontres Musicales de Capvern: 20 Years of Music at the Foot of the Pyrenees

Since 2005, the Rencontres Musicales de Capvern has been an unmissable summer event for lovers of classical music and original creations in the Hautes-Pyrénées. Founded by saxophonist Jérôme Laran, a passionate professor in Paris, the festival is supported by the association C'Classic.

Four Days of Concerts

Each edition offers four days of concerts in the churches of Capvern Village and Capvern-les-Bains, providing remarkable acoustics for diverse programs:

• Classical music and chamber music
• Tango and new musical creations
• Young talents and emerging artists
• International ensembles

Exceptional Artists

The festival hosts internationally renowned musicians. In 2025, for its 20th edition, it welcomed Spanish saxophonist Davis Salleras, pianist Mickaël Ertzscheid, clarinetist Martin Messouak, flutist Daphnée Albini, and the Japanese quartet 951Q2. The opening concert, dedicated to tango, echoed the very first concert of the festival twenty years prior.
