Rétro Folies is the unmissable vintage festival of Bourg-en-Bresse, celebrating the legendary decades from the 1930s to the 1980s. Held annually at Ainterexpo, this festive and family-friendly event offers two days of rock'n'roll concerts, popular dances, pin-up competitions, classic vehicle gatherings, vintage boutique village, historical re-enactments and swing dancing. The Vintage Festival from the 1930s to the 1980s
Since its creation in 2022, Rétro Folies has established itself as the unmissable event for retro culture enthusiasts in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Every year, the Ainterexpo exhibition centre in Bourg-en-Bresse transforms for a weekend into a veritable time machine, immersing visitors in the atmosphere of the legendary decades spanning the 1930s to the 1980s.
Three Halls, Six Decades
The festival unfolds across three themed halls, each offering a unique atmosphere:
- Hall A - Retro & Classic Machines: Musette ball and tea dance atmosphere with classic and vintage car exhibitions.
- Hall B - Yéyé & The 80s: Concerts and DJ sets covering several decades of iconic hits.
- Hall C - Pin-up & Rock'n'Roll: Rockabilly, rhythm & blues, vintage fashion shows, retro flea market and Miss Pin-up competition.
A Rich and Eclectic Programme
Rétro Folies features around fifteen live concerts over the weekend with rock'n'roll, rockabilly, swing and blues bands. Visitors can enjoy more than 200 m² of dance floors to learn or perfect their rock, swing and ballroom dancing, with demonstrations and classes offered throughout the day.
Classic and Vintage Vehicles
One of the festival highlights is the largest vehicle gathering in the Ain department, organised in partnership with the Tacot Club de l'Ain. The outdoor areas host exhibitions of exceptional classic vehicles: vintage cars, mopeds and period agricultural vehicles. On Sunday afternoon, an FFVE-certified elegance competition (Fédération Française des Véhicules d'Époque) awards the finest vehicles with prestigious prizes. Vehicle parades also enliven the weekend.
Entertainment and Re-enactments
The festival offers numerous activities for the whole family: a re-enacted 1939-45 army village, firefighter displays with period vehicles, Elvis-style Las Vegas weddings, hypnosis shows in period costumes, old-fashioned games, themed photo opportunities and various competitions. A retro and vintage boutique village lets visitors browse clothing, accessories, décor and period items, while an old-school tattoo area completes the offering.
Food and Conviviality
A Food Truck village and refreshment areas allow festival-goers to eat in a convivial atmosphere throughout the weekend.

The Rétro Folies festival returns for its 5th edition on 27 and 28 June 2026 at Ainterexpo Bourg-en-Bresse. The unmissable vintage festival of the 1930s to 1980s once again promises an unforgettable weekend blending nostalgia, entertainment and conviviality.
On the programme: three halls covering six decades of retro culture with rock'n'roll and rockabilly concerts, a vintage boutique village, pin-up gatherings, over 200 m² of dance floors and the largest vehicle gathering in the Ain department outdoors with entertainment, exhibitions of exceptional classic vehicles, mopeds, agricultural vehicles, parades, old-fashioned games for the whole family and a Food Truck village.
On Saturday evening, a grand popular dance will liven up the night until 1am. On Sunday afternoon, the traditional FFVE-certified elegance competition will reward the finest classic vehicles.

The festival takes place at Ainterexpo, 25 avenue du Maréchal Juin, 01000 Bourg-en-Bresse.
- By car: Ainterexpo is easily accessible from the A40 motorway (Bourg-en-Bresse exit). Over 2,000 free parking spaces are available on site.
- By train: Bourg-en-Bresse station (Paris-Geneva TGV line and regional TER). Ainterexpo is located approximately 3 km from the station.
