Free and friendly festival on the port of Étape-sur-Mer
The Rock en Stock festival is a free musical event that takes place every summer on the departmental port of Étape-sur-Mer, in the heart of the Côte d'Opale. Created in the late 1990s, it celebrated its 25th edition in 2025, establishing itself as one of the unmissable cultural events on the Pas-de-Calais coastline.
Originally exclusively dedicated to rock, the festival has gradually expanded its programming to include a wide variety of musical genres: French song, world music, reggae, hip-hop, folk, pop, and alternative music. This musical openness, combined with the friendliness of the location, has allowed the festival to reach an ever-wider audience.
The festival takes place on the departmental port of Étape, a place steeped in maritime history. Facing the Canche river and fishing boats, festival-goers enjoy a unique atmosphere, between quality concerts and sea air. The site opens at noon, allowing for a full day of festivities, with closing around 1:30 AM.
Free access is at the heart of Rock en Stock's identity. This strong choice allows all audiences, families, young people, and music enthusiasts, to enjoy three days of concerts in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The festival is supported by the City of Étape, the Department of Pas-de-Calais, and the Hauts-de-France Region.
The 26th edition of Rock en Stock will take place on July 24, 25 and 26, 2026 at the departmental port of Étaples-sur-Mer, on the Opal Coast. True to its spirit, the festival remains entirely free and offers an eclectic program over three days, from rock to French chanson, reggae, ska, world music, and folk. Concerts begin daily at 4 PM (doors open at noon).
From Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26, 2026, the Rock en Stock festival takes over the departmental port of Étaples-sur-Mer for three days of free-access concerts. Organized by the Rock en Stock Opale association, this emblematic event on the Opal Coast combines free admission, conviviality, and musical diversity.
The 2026 program brings together about twenty French and international artists, including Sergent Garcia, Bertrand Belin, Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs, Marcel et son Orchestre, Babylon, Cut Capers, and the Orchestre International du Vetex, mixing rock, chanson, ska, festive brass band, and world music.
The festival is part of the "Festivals en mouvement" (eco-responsibility) initiative: reusable cups, local food trucks, carpooling, and bicycle parking. Access is free and without reservation, within the limit of available space.
Étape-sur-Mer is accessible via the A16 motorway (exit Étaples/Le Touquet). The departmental port is a few minutes from the town center. Free parking near the port.
The Étape - Le Touquet station is served by TER trains from Boulogne-sur-Mer (15 min), Calais, and Lille. The port is within walking distance of the station (about a 15-minute walk).
Site opens at noon each day. Closes around 1:30 AM. Continuous concerts on the main stage.
Free admission for all days and all concerts.
