Street Arts Festival in the medieval village of Rions
The Rues et Vous Festival is a street arts event that takes over the medieval village of Rions, in Gironde, every summer. Circus, theatre, music, dance, and street arts colonize the squares and alleys of this classified town in South Gironde for three days of shows, wanderings, and creations shared with the inhabitants.
Organized by the Musaraigne association, the festival unfolds across seven performance venues in the heart of the village (Place du Repos, Place d'Armes, Place Cazeaux-Cazalet, Place Jarry, La Halle, Cour du Cercle, Le Jardin) and advocates an eco-responsible, family-friendly approach rooted in its territory.
Since its creation, the Rues et Vous Festival has transformed the medieval village of Rions, in South Gironde, into a stronghold of street arts every summer. For three days, about twenty companies and collectives of artists take over the town's squares and alleys to offer an imaginative journey combining circus, theatre, music, dance, plastic installations, and brass bands.
The festival unfolds across seven scenic spaces distributed throughout the medieval centre: Place du Repos, Place d'Armes, Place Cazeaux-Cazalet, Place Jarry, La Halle, Cour du Cercle, and Le Jardin. This configuration allows for simultaneously offering shows in various formats — intimate small forms, wanderings, large open-air stages — while also showcasing Rions' built heritage.
The Musaraigne association, the organizing body of the festival, operates with a largely volunteer team and involves schools, medico-social centres, and the local associative fabric in cultural mediation actions upstream of the event. The festival thus defines itself as a collective project, attentive to inclusion and the participation of residents.
The festival asserts a committed eco-responsible approach: waste management, partnerships with local and proximity suppliers, soft mobility encouraged for the public, seasonal catering. This environmental dimension is an integral part of the project's identity.
Located in Rions, a commune of the Convergence Garonne community of communes in South Gironde, the festival is part of a territory of vineyards and villages of character, about thirty kilometres southeast of Bordeaux. It contributes to the cultural influence of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the summer animation of the right bank of the Garonne.
The 2026 edition of the Festival Rues et Vous will take place from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, 2026, in Rions, in Sud-Gironde. For three days, the medieval village will host a multidisciplinary program — circus, street arts, theater, music, and dance — spread across seven performance venues, in an eco-responsible and friendly approach led by the Musaraigne association.
The Festival Rues et Vous returns to Rions from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, 2026. For three days, the medieval village of Sud-Gironde becomes the playground for about twenty companies and artist collectives invited to take over the squares, narrow streets, and emblematic spaces of the town.
The 2026 program remains faithful to the festival's multidisciplinary identity: circus, street arts, theater, music, and dance intertwine throughout the three days. Shows, wanderings, installations, brass bands, and choreographic performances make up a route designed to bring contemporary works into dialogue with the village's medieval heritage.
The edition unfolds across seven venues located in the medieval center: Place du Repos, Place d'Armes, Place Cazeaux-Cazalet, Place Jarry, La Halle, Cour du Cercle, and Le Jardin. This plurality allows for simultaneous shows with varied capacities and atmospheres, inviting the public to explore the village and create their own itinerary.
Designed as a family-friendly and accessible event, the festival offers a tiered ticketing system (free on Friday, reduced rates, free access for children), as well as mediation activities carried out beforehand with schools and the local associative network. The eco-responsible approach is affirmed: seasonal catering, local partners, reasoned waste management, and encouragement of soft mobility.
Rions is located approximately 35 km southeast of Bordeaux, on the right bank of the Garonne. Access by car via the A62 (Podensac exit) then D10/D11. Parking is organized on the outskirts of the village during the festival.
Friday (opening) is free access with suggested hat participation. Saturday and Sunday: full price 16 €, reduced price 11 € (under 18, students, job seekers), free for under 6s, family price at 11 €.
