The Sainte-Foy Festival is a musical event that takes place in a spectacular alpine setting, in the heart of Haute-Tarentaise in Savoie. Nestled between the Plan Bois plateau at an altitude of 1,770 meters and the foot of the resort at 1,550 meters, the festival offers its spectators a magnificent panorama of the surrounding peaks, exceptional listening conditions, and a unique atmosphere between music and mountains.
Born in 2024, the Sainte-Foy Festival is the result of a desire by the municipality and local stakeholders to offer a major summer cultural event in Haute-Tarentaise. From its very first edition, the festival has charmed an enthusiastic audience, and the 2nd edition in August 2025 confirmed its success with nearly 2,500 festival-goers gathered over two days.
The originality of the Sainte-Foy Festival lies in its two-stage format with distinct atmospheres. The Plan Bois stage, at altitude, hosts afternoon concerts in a more intimate and acoustic style, with artists offering poetic lyrics and deep rhythms. The Resort stage, at the foot of the slopes, comes alive in the evening to the sound of rock, reggae, rap, and pop for more electric and festive concerts.
The festival boasts a resolutely eclectic program that mixes nationally renowned artists and local talents. The 2nd edition notably featured pianist and composer André Manoukian, virtuoso Sanseverino, electro duo Synapson, rap group 47 Ter, Jamiroquai's drummer Derrick McKenzie, I Woks reggae, and the band The Fat Bastard Gangband. Local artists such as Auren, Douze, and Prohibition Dead completed the lineup.
The Sainte-Foy Festival is fully integrated into the tourist and cultural dynamic of Haute-Tarentaise. By offering a quality musical event during the summer season, it contributes to the attractiveness of this mountain region beyond just the ski season, while providing residents and vacationers with a moment of celebration and sharing in the heart of the alpine summer.
The 3rd edition of the Sainte-Foy Festival is expected in August 2026 in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, with new open-air concerts at altitude in the majestic setting of Haute-Tarentaise.
The Sainte-Foy Festival is expected to return for its 3rd edition in August 2026, continuing this summer musical event at altitude. The lineup and precise dates will be announced later.
