The Semi-Marathon de Monéteau: thirty years of running and conviviality in the Auxerrois

For over 30 years, the Semi-Marathon de Monéteau de l'Amitié et des Villes Jumelées has established itself as one of the major sporting events in the Yonne region. Organized every spring in the town of Monéteau (89470), near Auxerre, this race brings together several hundred runners each year from all over Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and neighboring regions.

A flat and fast course

The Semi-Marathon de Monéteau is renowned for its entirely flat course in a single loop, using the roads of the Monéteau neighborhoods and extending to the town of Gurgy. This route offers ideal conditions for achieving good performances and improving on the half-marathon distance (21.097 km).

Several distances are offered to accommodate all levels:

The pasta evening and post-race

The evening before the race, a pasta evening is organized to allow runners to load up on carbohydrates in a festive and friendly atmosphere. The next day, after the awards ceremony that honors the first male and female finishers as well as the first locals, a full meal is offered by reservation.
