The 35th edition of the Sommet de l'Élevage will take place from October 6 to 9, 2026 at the Grande Halle d'Auvergne in Cournon-d'Auvergne, at the gates of Clermont-Ferrand. Spread over a 220,000 m² site (including 100,000 m² of stand space), the show confirms its position as the world's largest gathering dedicated to livestock farming and agriculture.
An international showcase for sustainable livestock farming
The 2026 edition will bring together approximately 1,800 exhibitors, 2,000 elite animals, and 70 animal breeds represented, before an audience of some 120,000 visitors from over 100 countries. On the program: bovine, ovine, caprine, and equine breed competitions, technical presentations, thematic routes, and innovation hubs covering animal feed, veterinary health, agricultural equipment, and processing technologies.
The Limousine breed in the spotlight
The Sommet de l'Élevage 2026 will notably host the national competition for the Limousine cattle breed, alongside the numerous ovine and equine competitions that punctuate the show.
Conferences and business meetings
More than 160 conferences and technical workshops will address the economic, environmental, and health challenges of livestock farming. B2B meetings and international networking opportunities will foster partnerships and the exchange of best practices among industry stakeholders.

Programme Sommet de l'Élevage 2026

Access to the Grande Halle d'Auvergne
By car
The Grande Halle d'Auvergne is located in Cournon-d'Auvergne, 10 km southeast of Clermont-Ferrand. Access via the A75 (Cournon exit) and the A711. Free parking on site.
By train
Clermont-Ferrand station, then shuttle buses or regular buses to Cournon-d'Auvergne.
By bus
Bus lines from Clermont-Ferrand to the Grande Halle d'Auvergne site. Special shuttles during the show.

The Sommet de l'Élevage is the largest European gathering dedicated to the livestock and agriculture professions. Founded in 1992 in Cournon-d'Auvergne, near Clermont-Ferrand, it has experienced spectacular growth to become the world's leading sustainable livestock trade show.
From humble beginnings to global recognition
The first edition in 1992 followed a traditional agricultural market and competition and attracted 8,000 visitors with about a hundred exhibitors. Since 2004, the Sommet de l'Élevage has been held at the Grande Halle d'Auvergne, a modern and suitable exhibition space that has enabled the event's growth.
