The Tango par la Côte Festival in Finistère celebrates the passion of Argentine tango in an exceptional setting between Roscoff and Saint-Thégonnec. Organized by the association Tango à la Mer, this event offers over 40 hours of dance with internationally renowned maestros. On the program: intensive workshops, seaside milongas, free introductory classes, and dance evenings featuring Argentine orchestras and DJs.
The Festival Tango par la Côte in Finistère is one of the unmissable events for Argentine tango enthusiasts in France. Created in 2008, the festival welcomes dancers from all over France and abroad each summer to share their passion in an exceptional maritime setting.
The festival offers a rich and varied program with internationally renowned maestros. Participants can enjoy over 40 hours of dance spread across technical workshops, daytime and nighttime milongas, and dance evenings. Among the artists featured: Fausto Carpino and Stéphanie Fesneau, Ornella Simonetto and Juan David Vargas (world championship finalists), as well as prestigious DJs like Vivi la Falce, Gabriel Sodini, or Damiàn di Boggio.
The festival takes place between Roscoff, a corsair town with authentic charm, and Saint-Thégonnec, allowing festival-goers to discover Breton heritage while dancing. The seaside milongas offer a unique setting where Argentine tango meets the wild beauty of the Finistère coast.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, the festival offers activities suitable for all levels. Free introductory classes are organized on Fridays and Saturdays at the old port of Roscoff, allowing the curious to discover this passionate dance. The association Tango à la Mer also hosts weekly workshops throughout the year for improvement.
Roscoff is accessible by car via the N12 then the D58. The town is located about 60 km from Brest and 30 km from Morlaix. Free parking is available in town.
The nearest SNCF train station is Morlaix, 30 km away. Bus connections allow you to reach Roscoff from Morlaix. Roscoff also has a ferry port with connections to Ireland and England.
