About Terraqué Festival

Every year in early September, the Festival Terraqué brings together a celebration of classical and contemporary music across Carnac's historic landmarks, including the Saint-Cornély church, the Chapelle de la Congrégation, the Salle du Ménec, and the Casino Circus. Founded in 2017 by Breton conductor Clément Mao-Takacs, who remains its artistic director, the festival takes its name from a collection of poems by Carnac native Guillevic, where earth and water echo one another. Each evening features two performances, at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, blending iconic repertoire pieces with rediscovered works and compositions by women, all presented with an accessible and lighthearted touch.
