About Mégalithes en Fête

Every year, Mégalithes en Fête brings together locals and visitors in Carnac for a vibrant day filled with sporting challenges, workshops, and live performances. The event is co-organized by the AQTA community of municipalities, the Baie de Quiberon Tourist Office, and the town of Carnac. The program features a team race representing the twenty-four municipalities of the region, a forum for discussing the local future, a national oyster-shucking championship, and an evening of live music.

Mégalithes en Fête — edition 2026

For its second edition, Mégalithes en Fête brings together the twenty-four municipalities of the Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique region on Saturday, September 19, 2026, for the 'Quête des Mégalithes'—a team challenge featuring kayaking, tree-top adventure courses, and nature trails. The Grand Village, located at the Croix des Émigrés in Carnac, will host the French Oyster Shucking Championship in the afternoon, a forum on the region's future, and an evening featuring a traditional bagad, a jazz concert by the BPM Trio, and an aerial performance by the Deus ex Machina company.

  • 8:30 AM–5:30 PM — The Quête des Mégalithes: 24 teams representing 24 local municipalities, three circuits (sea kayaking/paddleboarding, tree-top adventure, nature trail) · Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique
  • 2:00 PM–Midnight — The Grand Village · Croix des Émigrés, Carnac
  • 2:00 PM–5:30 PM — Ideas Forum: discussions and reflections on the future of the region
  • 2:00 PM–6:00 PM — French Oyster Shucking Championship, celebrating oyster farming expertise
  • 2:00 PM–Midnight — Mégalithes Area: activities and workshops for all, featuring twelve fun challenges
  • 5:30 PM — The Champions' Wall, final of the Quête des Mégalithes
  • 6:45 PM — Bagad and Breton dances with the Kevrenn Alré
  • 8:00 PM — Grand festive banquet and jazz concert with the BPM Trio
  • — Galileo, aerial show by the Deus ex Machina company
  • 10:15 PM — DJ set by Mister Frenchwax
