About CAP Danse

CAP Danse brings contemporary dance to nine towns across the Concarneau Cornouaille Agglomération in Finistère. Organised by the association Danse à tous les étages, the festival pairs each town with one or more events—including performances, workshops, film screenings, artist talks, and dance parties—held in municipal halls, museums, libraries, or outdoor spaces.

CAP Danse — edition 2026

The fifth edition of CAP Danse takes place from September 18th to 27th, 2026, across the nine municipalities of the Concarneau Cornouaille Agglomération. The festival features works by Christian Rizzo, Angelin Preljocaj, Leïla Ka, Betty Tchomanga, and Ola Maciejewska, alongside dances, workshops, and artist meet-and-greets. Traditional dances from the Basque Country and the Maghreb share the stage with historical figures of the genre, from Loïe Fuller to contemporary creations.

The programme takes place across the nine towns of the Concarneau Cornouaille Agglomération; specific times and locations are provided for each event.

The festival connects the towns of Concarneau, Elliant, Melgven, Névez, Pont-Aven, Rosporden, Saint-Yvi, Tourc'h, and Trégunc. The 2026 edition marks its fifth year, featuring works by Christian Rizzo, Angelin Preljocaj, Leïla Ka, Betty Tchomanga, and Ola Maciejewska, alongside workshops, two dance balls, and opportunities to meet the artists. Three exhibitions will also be held in local libraries throughout the festival.

CAP Danse is produced in partnership with Concarneau Cornouaille Agglomération, the Ministry of Culture, the Brittany Region, the Finistère Department, and the nine participating municipalities.
