A piano festival in a greenhouse
Les Solistes à l'Orangerie d'Auteuil is a concise and focused piano festival: three days at the start of the season, featuring six one-hour recitals without intermission, two per day. It is held in the Orangerie of the Jardin des Serres d'Auteuil, located on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne and the Roland-Garros stadium, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.
One rule: a contemporary piece in every concert
The festival was founded in 2000 by the Ars Mobilis association, with three core goals maintained ever since: to promote young musicians, to systematically include a contemporary music piece in every concert, and to give the public the opportunity to hear internationally renowned artists. Ars Mobilis has commissioned around thirty chamber music works from contemporary composers, featured over one hundred composers, and hosted approximately two hundred performers.
A lost venue, a venue found again
The festival was held at the Serres d'Auteuil from 2000 to 2012, before being displaced by the expansion of the Roland-Garros stadium. It then found refuge at Bagatelle from 2012 to 2021—which is why many still know it as "Les Solistes à Bagatelle." Since 2022, it has returned to its original home in the restored Orangerie.
The 2026 lineup
The program pairs two winners from the competition season—Paul Lecocq, 2025 Clara Haskil Grand Prix winner, and Mirabelle Kajenjeri, finalist of the 2025 Queen Elisabeth Competition—with established pianists: Anne Queffélec and Gaspard Dehaene in a four-hand performance, Suzana Bartal, Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt, and Shani Diluka.
