Beat and Beer: When Music and Beer Join Forces

Beat and Beer is a festival like no other. Born in 2016 in Malakoff, in the Hauts-de-Seine region, it has established itself in just a few editions as a unique event in the Parisian region's festival scene. Its founding idea: to bring together lovers of emerging music and craft beer enthusiasts in a space for celebration, sharing, and discovery. The result? A festival described by its organizers as a "protean organism with overflowing vitality.".

The Music of Beat and Beer

Beat and Beer's musical programming is deliberately focused on creative fringes: instrumental, experimental, post-rock, live electronic, jazz fusion, afrobeat, noise... The festival invites artists who play with genres, reject categories, and surprise their audience. Concerts are interspersed with DJ sets and performances, creating an atmosphere of continuous sonic exploration from day to night. Beat and Beer has successfully showcased many emerging artists from the French and international scene, some of whom are now recognized far beyond the festival itself.

Among its notable editions, the festival presented the traveling event "Dérives Auditives" at the Maison des Arts et Centre d'Art Contemporain de Malakoff in 2023, and in 2024, an edition titled "Interstices" explored the spaces between musical genres. These formats, derived from the main festival, demonstrate the team's constant desire to invent new ways for music and audiences to connect.

Craft Beers, the Festival's Other Pillar

The "Beer" in Beat and Beer is not just for show. The festival offers a curated selection of craft beers, primarily French, often from independent breweries in the Île-de-France region or neighboring areas. This selection is updated each year, in partnership with breweries chosen for their artisanal approach and brewing innovation. Unfiltered, unpasteurized beers with original recipes: IPAs, amber ales, stouts, sours, and seasonal beers specially brewed for the event.

The craft beers are served in ideal conditions—appropriate glasses, controlled temperatures—for a tasting experience that matches the festival's musical standards. Homemade cooked meals complement the gastronomic offerings, adhering to the same philosophy of authenticity and care.

Parc Salagnac: A Green Setting in the Heart of the City

Since 2025, the festival has been held at Parc Salagnac (Rue Hoche, Malakoff), an urban park in Malakoff with a relaxed atmosphere. This green space, surrounded by century-old lime trees and welcoming lawns, provides an ideal setting for the two days of open-air festival. Malakoff, a commune in the inner suburbs of Paris adjacent to the 14th arrondissement, is easily accessible from Paris and boasts a strong cultural identity.

10 Years of Beat and Beer

In 2025, the festival celebrated its 10th anniversary, a decade of bold music, urban explorations, and colorful performances. This anniversary edition, still at Parc Salagnac, celebrated a decade of musical adventures with a special program and a look back at ten years of history. The 2026 edition, on September 5th and 6th, continues this momentum with the same ambition: to surprise, discover, and share.
