About The World's Smallest International Gastronomy Festival

The world's smallest international gastronomy festival brings together performances, readings, and gourmet gatherings in Courbouzon, Loir-et-Cher, all centered around the culinary arts and fine dining. The local troupe, Compagnie La Valise Ondulatoire, designs each edition as a playful nod to Rabelais and the rich feasting traditions of the Centre-Val de Loire region: expect food-themed clowning, songs and stories shared around the table, and a dinner show to wrap up the weekend.

  • 2:30 PM — Performance: "De la Langue de Gargantua" · Rue des Colombiers
  • 4:00 PM–6:00 PM — Gourmet readings · Courbouzon Town Hall
  • 4:30 PM — Clown show: "Drôle de goût" (a look at food choices) · Courbouzon Town Hall
  • 6:00 PM — Musical reading: "Amuse-bouche" · Courbouzon Town Hall
  • 8:00 PM — Dinner show (€15) · Courbouzon Town Hall

Throughout the weekend, the photo exhibition "From Field to Plate," curated by the Musée de la Corbillère in Mer, will be on display. Program provided by the organizer (source: lavaliseondulatoire.com/festival).

Friday and Saturday performances are free of charge; however, reservations are recommended or mandatory depending on the session. Please book via email at [email protected] or by calling 06 26 53 58 12. The Saturday evening dinner show costs €15 and can be paid by credit card.
