The 43rd edition of the Tour des Ports de la Manche will take place from Sunday, July 5 to Friday, July 10, 2026, on a route named "Full West!". The cruise-race will set off from Granville to reach Port-Diélette after six days of navigation, with stopovers in Jersey, Barneville-Carteret, and Guernsey, and an inaugural loop around Chausey and Cancale. 43rd Edition — "Full West!", from Granville to Diélette
For 2026, the Yacht Club de Granville offers a route resolutely oriented towards the west of the Channel, structured into six stages spread over five stopover ports. The fleet sets off from Granville on Sunday, July 5, completes a loop off Chausey and Cancale on the very first day, then heads for the Channel Islands before reaching Port-Diélette on Friday, July 10.
This year, the Tour des Ports de la Manche is among the major OSIRIS 2026 events unveiled by the French Sailing Federation: it is the only Norman race selected in this national program, a sign of recognition of this coastal regatta as one of the most emblematic in the region.
True to its original spirit, the event remains open to all categories of sailboats, from cruising boats to racing units, and welcomes both amateur sailors and seasoned racers. At each stopover, the host ports organize entertainment, meals, and festive evenings that bring together crews and residents.

Tour des Ports de la Manche: 40 Years of Maritime Passion
Since 1984, the Tour des Ports de la Manche has been one of the most emblematic cruise races on the French coast. Created by the Yacht Club de Granville, this annual regatta brings together an impressive fleet of sailboats each summer for a week of sailing between the ports of the department and the Channel Islands.
An Exceptional Maritime Course
The Tour des Ports offers a course of approximately 210 nautical miles connecting the main ports of the Manche. The sailboats stop in emblematic harbors such as Granville, Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Barneville-Carteret, Diélette, as well as the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey. The course varies from year to year, offering participants the discovery of new stages and new perspectives on the Manche coastline.
A Race Open to All
One of the strengths of the Tour des Ports is its accessibility. The different categories of competing boats—from cruising sailboats to racing boats—give everyone a chance. Beginner sailors mingle with seasoned racers in a warm and supportive atmosphere, true to the spirit of the race since its origins. Over time, the fleet has grown from about twenty boats in the early editions to over a hundred crews today.
Conviviality and Activities in the Stopover Ports
Beyond the sporting competition, the Tour des Ports is a true nautical festival. At each stopover, the host ports organize activities, convivial meals, concerts, and festive evenings that bring together sailors and locals. This festive and human dimension is the hallmark of the event and explains the loyalty of many crews who return year after year.
A Living Maritime Heritage
The Tour des Ports de la Manche contributes to the maritime influence of the department and the promotion of sailing as an accessible and friendly activity. It showcases the ports of the Manche, their heritage, and their nautical know-how, while strengthening ties between both sides of the Channel and the Channel Islands.
