60 free events all summer long in Flers and its surroundings
Every summer, Flers Agglo transforms the town of Flers and surrounding communities into a vast cultural and festive stage with the Rendez-vous de l'Été. From early July to the end of August, over 60 free events punctuate the summer season, combining music, live performance, nature, and well-being in a spirit of openness and conviviality.
Every Friday evening at 9 PM, Place Saint-Germain in Flers transforms into an open-air concert hall. The musical programming, intentionally eclectic, covers a wide spectrum of genres: folk, pop, rock, Celtic music, French chanson, tribute bands... The opening night traditionally sets the tone with an ambitious program, as in 2025 with tributes to Téléphone and U2.
On Tuesdays at 2 PM, guided walks allow participants to discover the landscapes, fauna, and flora of the Flers area. Accompanied by nature guides, walkers explore the paths of rural Normandy, between hills, rivers, and hedgerows.
On Thursdays at 6:30 PM, the park of the Flers château hosts open-air relaxation sessions: pilates, yoga, forest bathing, sound healing... These events invite a moment of well-being in the green setting of the château estate.
On Saturdays at 6 PM or 6:30 PM, shows are scheduled in the towns of the agglomeration, offering the opportunity to discover the diversity of the surrounding villages while enjoying various artistic performances: street theater, music, dance, circus...
On Sunday afternoons from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, the château park offers activities for the whole family: street arts, shows for young audiences, nature workshops, and participatory activities. A friendly snack often concludes these festive afternoons.
By offering events spread across the entire territory of Flers Agglo, the Rendez-vous de l'Été contribute to the cultural dynamism and social cohesion of the agglomeration. The free nature of all programming ensures accessibility for all audiences.
The 14th edition of the Flers Summer Rendezvous takes place from Friday, July 3 to Friday, August 28, 2026, with about sixty free events offered by the City of Flers and Flers Agglo. Friday concerts in Place Saint-Germain, Tuesday hikes, Thursday relaxation sessions in the castle park, Saturday shows in the municipalities of the agglomeration, and lively Sunday afternoons: eight weeks of cultural and nature activities for all audiences.
For the 14th consecutive year, the City of Flers and Flers Agglo offer a free summer season with over 60 events, from Friday, July 3 to Friday, August 28, 2026. The deliberately eclectic program combines concerts, live shows, guided hikes, wellness sessions, and activities for young audiences, spread across the entire territory of Flers Agglo (Flers, Athis-Val de Rouvre, La Carneille, Briouze, Landisacq, Athis-de-l'Orne, Le Ménil de Briouze…).
Each week of summer is punctuated by five recurring appointments:
The 2026 edition opens on Friday, July 3 at 9 PM, in Place Saint-Germain, with two “Tribute to” concerts to sing along to the hits of Téléphone (by the band Publiphone) and U2 (by the band 2Desire). A food truck will be on site.
The season closes on Friday, August 28 in the Flers castle park, with a picnic formula, a concert, and a street show to end the summer in conviviality.
The entire program is completely free, with no prior reservation required for most events (except for some hikes that may require registration at the tourist office). The events are designed for all audiences — families, music lovers, hikers, live performance enthusiasts — and contribute to the cultural dynamism and social cohesion of the Flers agglomeration.
The detailed week-by-week program is progressively published on the Flers Agglo website and the Montagnes de Normandie Tourist Office. Friday concerts (other than the opening night) and Saturday shows in the municipalities are announced throughout the summer.
Flers is located in the west of Orne, in the heart of the Normandy Mountains.
From Tuesday to Sunday according to the program. Concerts on Friday at 9 PM. Program details on the Flers Agglo website.
All events are free and open to all.
