Vite, au Théâtre ! : Live Theatre in the Heart of Blois Winter

Vite, au Théâtre ! was born in 2022 from the initiative of Blois-based theatre companies eager to create a popular event around theatre during the winter holidays. Supported by the Vite, au Théâtre association, this February festival has quickly become a much-appreciated highlight of Blois' cultural life, attracting a loyal and curious audience to the Théâtre Nicolas Peskine and the Halle aux Grains.

A Local and Regional Program

The festival programs about ten theatre performances by local and regional companies. Comedies, dramas, revisited classics, and contemporary creations are featured in an eclectic program that reflects the richness of Blois' theatrical scene. Each edition welcomes the founding companies of the festival alongside newcomers, fostering renewal and discovery.

Workshops and Readings

Beyond the performances, Vite, au Théâtre ! offers fun workshops accessible from age 6, where young and old explore the joy of acting, improvising, and being on stage. Readings aloud of poetic, classical, and contemporary texts complete the program, offering intimate and shared moments around theatrical speech.

Two Iconic Venues

The festival unfolds in two iconic venues in Blois:

  • The Théâtre Nicolas Peskine, the festival's epicenter, hosts most of the weekday performances.
  • The Halle aux Grains – Scène nationale de Blois hosts weekend performances, including the collective creation that closes each edition.

An Accessible and Unifying Festival

With preferential rates and a program designed for all audiences, Vite, au Théâtre ! embodies a popular and joyful vision of theatre. The festival encourages amateur practice, values local companies, and creates bridges between generations around the pleasure of live performance. The collective creation that closes each edition—a classic play revisited by all participating companies—symbolizes this spirit of sharing and collaboration.
