The festival that mixes motorcycle, surf, skate, art, and music in Biarritz
Since 2012, Wheels and Waves has created a world where time fades, where disciplines intersect and enrich each other. This unique festival, born in Biarritz, has become over the years a major international event that attracts enthusiasts from all over the world to the Basque Coast every June.
Wheels and Waves is not just a festival: it's a cultural immersion that blends:
One of the unique features of Wheels and Waves is its transborder deployment between France and Spain. The festival uses the Cité de l'Océan in Biarritz as its base camp, but extends to Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle for motorcycle events and up to Jaizkibel in the Spanish Basque Country. This cross-border dimension reflects the spirit of adventure and freedom that drives the festival.
The main village of Wheels and Waves is set up at the Cité de l'Océan, where custom motorcycle exhibitions, brand stands, craft demonstrations, and entertainment are concentrated. It's the community's meeting point, where enthusiasts, builders, artists, and curious visitors gather in a relaxed and creative atmosphere.
Wheels and Waves cultivates a spirit of freedom, creativity, and sharing. The festival attracts an international community of riders, surfers, artists, and music lovers who share a passion for alternative cultures and beautiful craftsmanship. Minors under 16 years old get free entry when accompanied by a paying adult.
