The Yellow Festival: a new musical energy in Amiens
Born in 2024, the Yellow Festival is the newest festival in the Amiens agglomeration, but it has already won over a large audience from its very first edition. Initially organized to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Grand A shopping center in Glisy, on the outskirts of Amiens, the festival quickly went beyond its original scope to establish itself as a must-see musical event in the region.
The first edition, in 2024, attracted over 5,000 festival-goers despite capricious weather conditions, with a festive program featuring L5, Sound Of Legend, Matt Houston, and Willy Denzey. The popular success confirmed the appetite of the Amiens public for an accessible and intergenerational music festival.
A varied and festive program
The Yellow Festival stands out for its eclectic program that showcases French variety, pop-rock, hip-hop, and the dance and electro sounds of the 1990s-2000s. Each edition mixes established artists, nostalgic figures who have marked French popular culture, and emerging talents from the regional scene of Hauts-de-France.
The festival takes place over two days, on the last weekend of May, in the parking lot of the Grand A shopping center in Glisy, offering a vast outdoor space with several stages, food stalls, and entertainment for all ages.
A festival rooted in the Amiens metropolis
Glisy, a commune in the Amiens agglomeration located a few minutes from the city center, offers an ideal setting for hosting a large-scale open-air festival. Its proximity to major roads and public transport in the metropolis facilitates access for festival-goers from all over the Somme department and neighboring departments.
The Yellow Festival contributes to the cultural and event dynamism of an agglomeration that already hosts numerous festive events throughout the year.
