The young audience festival of the Val de Somme
Festi'Mômes is a festival dedicated to young audiences and families, organized every year in February in Longueau and Glisy, in the suburbs of Amiens. Created in 2014 by the Trait d'Union de Longueau, this three-week event offers a rich and diverse program of live performances — theater, puppets, dance, music, shadow theater, and storytelling — specially designed for children and teenagers. Accessible during school time as well as during the winter holidays, Festi'Mômes is a space for artistic discovery, exchange, and shared pleasure between young and old.
Since 2014, the Festi'Mômes festival has brought the town of Longueau and the Salle Saint-Exupéry in Glisy to life with live performances for young audiences. For three weeks in February, this artistic event offers children, teenagers, and families a demanding yet accessible program, presented by professional companies from all over France.
Each edition of Festi'Mômes invites about six professional companies, offering around thirty performances for over 1,500 young spectators. The program encompasses all forms of live performance: theater, puppetry, dance, music, shadow theater, storytelling, and hybrid forms that blend these disciplines.
The shows are adapted for different age groups, from toddlers (1 year and up) to teenagers. Some are performed during school hours for partner classes, while others are open to the public on weekends and during the winter holidays.
Festi'Mômes is more than just performances. The festival offers convivial moments, parent-child workshops, and meet-and-greets with artists after the shows. These moments of exchange, discussion, and sharing make the festival a true space for cultural life where bonds are forged between families, artists, and cultural teams.
The festival is driven by Le Trait d'Union, Longueau's cultural center, which develops a year-round program of live performances for all audiences. As a local structure committed to cultural democratization, Le Trait d'Union makes Festi'Mômes the highlight of its young audience season, in partnership with the Salle Saint-Exupéry in Glisy and the local schools.
The 13th edition of Festi'Mômes takes place from February 1st to 20th, 2026, at Le Trait d'Union in Longueau and Salle Saint-Exupéry in Glisy. Six companies offer 27 performances for 1,520 children, with a program mixing puppets, music, shadow theater, storytelling, and dance.
