RE-PLAY, two days of retro gaming in Mouans-Sartoux

RE-PLAY Festival is devoted to retro gaming and the pop culture of the 1970s to 2000. Created in 2012, it is held every autumn on avenue de Cannes. Doors open at 10 a.m. on 24 and 25 October 2026.

Dozens of consoles, computers and arcade cabinets run in free play, from the Atari 2600 to the Super Nintendo, and the pinball machines join them.

Vintage toys, collectible figurines, vinyl records, comics and manga are displayed and sold by specialist exhibitors. Talks look back at the history of video games and popular culture. Contests with prizes, tournaments on the classics and live concerts fill the rest of the programme.

Admission is €5, with free entry and exit all weekend.

A refreshment stand serves sandwiches and drinks at low prices. The large free public car park is behind the La Strada cinema, opposite the station, and Cannes is 10 minutes away.

Street circus, salsa and children's theatre

Bandol Circus takes over the centre of Bandol from October 22 to 25. Acrobats, clowns, magic and aerial acts play out in the streets, on the squares and in the green spaces, with workshops, a face-painting stand and trapeze first flights open every day. Shows and activities are free and open to all ages, and only the film screenings of the 2026 edition are paid.

In Orange, the International Cuban Festival runs from October 23 to 26. Born in 2013, it combines dance classes at four levels, concerts and "before" parties downtown, then the nights at the Espace Alphonse Daudet, where concerts and balls last until the small hours.

Cannes, for young audiences. The Festival P'tits Cannes à You continues at the Théâtre de la Licorne until October 31, during the All Saints school holidays. Theatre, puppetry, dance, circus and film are on the bill, with shows designed from birth. Tickets cost €6, and €4 from age 0 to 26.

Chestnuts and quinces, two fruits celebrated on Sunday the 25th

On Sunday, October 25, on the Place de la Libération, the Fêtes de la Châtaigne de Collobrières hold their third and last Sunday in the Maures massif. Admission is free, from about 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Producers sell fresh chestnuts, handmade marrons glacés, chestnut cream, flours and jams. Stalls roast chestnuts or serve chestnut porridge, and local cooking adds porcini mushrooms, olive oil, honey and goat cheese. The Confiserie Azuréenne, based in the village, makes marrons glacés and chestnut cream. Street shows, traditional Provençal music, craft exhibitions and workshops for children enliven the day.

Same day in Cotignac, a village set in the hollow of an 80-metre tuff cliff in the Cassole valley: the Fête du Coing runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The village centre, pedestrian that day, hosts a producers' market, demonstrations of jam and quince paste making, and an open-air horse show around 3 p.m. Quince stalls offer fruit pastes, jams, jellies, flavoured vinegars and syrups. Admission is free, while the market, tastings and food are paid.

The free car parks in Cotignac are at the entrance to the village, on the route de Barjols and the route de Brignoles.
