Chablis, two days of wine on the boulevard
The Fête des Vins de Chablis has taken place since 1949. It was born to mark the revival of the vineyard after the destruction of the Second World War.
Around fifty winemakers open open-air stands on the Boulevard du Docteur Tacussel, and Petit Chablis, Chablis, Premiers Crus and Grands Crus go into the tasting glass. They come from the Chablis area and the Grand Auxerrois, from Irancy to Saint-Bris-le-Vineux. Entry is free, only the glass is paid for.
On Saturday, the stands open at 12:30 pm.
A concert follows in the evening, around 6 pm. On Sunday, walks through the vines leave from 9 am, the stands open at 10:30 am, and the parade, followed by the christening of the vintage, takes place at 11 am. Events run until 6 pm, and the inductions are held at the Château Long-Depaquit.
The fête carries the Vignobles & Découvertes label. It draws more than 7,000 visitors at each edition.
