On 22-23 August 2026, festivals and events fill the Paris region: Good Vibes takes a Rambouillet square for two days, Vaux-le-Vicomte lights 2,000 candles, Versailles sets its fountains to Lully.

Good Vibes holds the place Thome-Patenôtre in Rambouillet on 22 and 23 August 2026. All around, the region's summer programmes run their final stretch: candlelight at Vaux-le-Vicomte on Saturday, fountains at Versailles, open-air classical music in the Bois de Vincennes, a riverside dance floor at Nogent-sur-Marne on Sunday.
Two open-air days in Rambouillet
Two days, and no more. Good Vibes occupies the place Thome-Patenôtre, in the middle of Rambouillet, on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August 2026. In a region where summer festivals stretch across two or three months, this one fits into a weekend and closes on Sunday night. It is the town's summer music event, out in the Yvelines.
The town council launched it in 2024.
Everything happens on one square. Thome-Patenôtre becomes an open-air stage: DJ sets, live concerts, group dance classes open to whoever turns up, street food along the edges, light effects taking over once darkness falls. Nothing costs anything.
No hall, no fenced-off arena: it all plays out in the open, on the paving of the town centre, and can be heard from the pavement across the street.
The programme was not built for a specialist crowd. Rambouillet designed the weekend to hold several generations of one town together, in a deliberately relaxed setting.
One square, two evenings, no box office.
The rest of the weekend, from Vaux-le-Vicomte to the Marne
Saturday evening, 2,000 candles light the château de Vaux-le-Vicomte and its formal gardens. The Candlelit Evenings run every Saturday from mid-May to late September at Maincy, across grounds drawn by André Le Nôtre, with the fountains playing at dusk. At Versailles, the Grandes Eaux Musicales bring the garden basins to life every weekend to Lully, Rameau and Charpentier, a tradition Louis XIV started in the 1660s.
At the Parc Floral, inside the Bois de Vincennes, Classique au Vert programmes classical and chamber concerts on summer weekends, outdoors and ticket-free.
On the riverbanks, Paris Plages holds the Parc Rives de Seine, the Bassin de la Villette and the place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville until 30 August, sand, deckchairs and misting sprays included. Further north, the Été audonien run by the Fête de Saint-Ouen closes its season on 23/08/2026, after seven weeks of concerts, riverside guinguette and open-air cinema.
Sunday, Nogent-sur-Marne dances. The Port de Nogent hosts Les Dimanches au Bord de l'Eau: balls, beginner dance lessons, jazz and musette concerts, in the spirit of the 19th-century guinguettes.
Three other ways to spend the weekend, away from the village squares: Gate Up puts emerging artists on stage inside the terminals of Paris-Orly airport, with Les Inrockuptibles; Yvelines Ciné drives the département's giant screen from town to town until 29 August; the Caillebotte Festival lays out exhibitions, open-air painting workshops and guided tours at Yerres, in the park that shaped the painter's eye.
